The Team
The Hospital and Provincial Health Services (HPHS) Division leads service transformation across the health sector, focusing on key initiatives and specialized services for priority populations. It is responsible for developing policies and services related to wait times, surgical services, diagnostic imaging, specialized provincial services, acute care, quality care, and Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD). The Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM) and Result Management Office supports the HPHS Division by advancing strategic initiatives in communication, technology, finance, risk management, and performance monitoring, while also providing management support and advice to the ADM and HPHS Executives. This ensures effective governance and collaboration with health authorities to improve patient care in British Columbia.

The Role
The Senior Project Management Analyst (Governance and Planning) plays a vital role in managing and delivering the HPHS and external partner governance committee processes. This position provides detailed planning, research, analysis, and reporting to support a best practice approach to governance and implements measures to demonstrate the program’s success and ensure accountability. Additionally, this role leads the development and ongoing prioritization of the HPHS governance management process, ensuring it aligns with the program’s mandate.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree in project management, commerce, business administration, public administration, or a related field and 2 years’ *related experience; OR
•    Diploma in project management, commerce, business administration, public administration, or a related field and 3 years’ *related experience; OR
•    An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

   *Related experience includes the following:
     •    Experience in planning, managing and monitoring projects or committees by developing schedules, agendas, and documentation.  
     •    Experience in relationship management with internal and external partners by providing updates and advice to leadership on the outcomes, directions, and anticipated activities of the committees.  
     •    Experience in establishing governance/project management guidelines, procedures, formats and templates and performance management standards.  

Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following:
•    Experience in agile project management and collaboration tools.
•    Applicants who identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis or Inuit).

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
