The Team
The BC Review Board Registry team is a well-established group made up of key roles, including Hearing Administrators, a Case Coordinator, an Intake & Application Coordinator and an Evidence and Records Coordinator, all supported by a Deputy Registrar and Registrar. The team is collaborative and works closely with Parties to the proceedings to ensure fair and efficient processes. The Role
At the British Columbia Review Board (BCRB), the Scheduling Case Officer plays a crucial role in managing and scheduling hearings, ensuring compliance with the Criminal Code, various Acts, and internal policies. The position also leads the training and education for scheduling processes. Additionally, the Scheduling Case Officer is instrumental in implementing business process improvements, enhancing the overall scheduling efficiency and fairness.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution in a related discipline such as social work, social sciences or business administration; OR
  • An equivalent combination of 3 years of administrative experience, with a minimum of 1 year of current experience in a legal environment, administrative body or court services.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience, understanding and applying policies, regulations, legislation.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience managing multiple priorities and producing results within deadlines.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working independently with minimal supervision and direction and responding quickly and effectively to changing priorities.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working collaboratively with various involved parties on business process changes.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.


Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Administrative or case management experience in a legal/court registry, administrative tribunal, mental health environment and/or justice sector.
  • Experience with the BC Review Board and the relevant legislative requirements.
  • Experience in preparing written reports, tracking and analyzing data.
  • Experience and understanding of Indigenous history and intergenerational trauma.

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 4 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
