The Team

The King's Printer Publishing Services team manages a wide range of responsibilities, from handling client requests and overseeing print-on-demand orders to coordinating with external printers and distribution centers. This established team consists of two Purchasing & Inventory Officers and a Manager, working closely with internal teams and external clients to ensure seamless service delivery. The team’s goal is to ensure our clients have prompt answers and action for their requests.  Collaboration and adaptability are key to this small team's success, as they manage immense daily responsibilities. The team works together to tackle tasks, continually adjusting priorities to ensure everyone has the support they need.

The Role
As a Purchasing & Inventory Officer, you'll be responsible for managing weekly and monthly reports, handling client requests, and ensuring smooth operations in a high-volume customer service environment. Your work will directly impact the availability of products for citizens of British Columbia, making timely responses crucial. This role offers a great opportunity to expand your skills with tools like Adobe, and Oxygen, while learning the ins and outs of our warehoused and print-on-demand products. Extensive training is provided, ensuring you're well-equipped for success.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Education and/or experience in business administration, public administration, and computer-based information systems.
  • Experience in high-volume Customer Service environment. 
  • Experience in SAP Enterprise Resource System.
  • Experience using software applications such as SharePoint, FTP for electronic file transfers, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Dreamweaver, and Oxygen XML Author.

Preference will be given to applicants with the following:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a high-volume Customer Service environment.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in SAP Enterprise Resource System

About this Position:
This position is based out of Victoria.
This is a temporary opportunity until December 31, 2025
A permanent appointment may result from this temporary appointment.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.
