The Team
The Information Line Team Lead supervises an established team of Information Line Agents within the Corporate Operations Team at the Employment Standards Branch. This role assists the public on the phone, electronically and in writing about services delivered by ESB and general information about the application and interpretation of the Employment Standards Act and Temporary Foreign Worker Protection Act.
The Role
As the Information Line Team Lead, you will coach, supervise, and train a team of information line agents while providing front-line service to citizens through phone, email, and written communication. You will manage complex, emotionally charged situations, offering support to individuals in crisis. In this fast-paced, rewarding role, you’ll have the opportunity to develop new skills, improve processes, and make a meaningful impact on the citizens we serve.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

Grade 12 graduation or equivalent and two (2) years related experience.
Related experience includes the following:
-
Experience working in a call centre setting or similar environment focused on delivering client facing information services.

Experience in word processing and other computer applications such as MC Word, Outlook, Excel.

Experience supervising staff or leading a project team or providing training/coaching.
-
Experience using databases to enter, update, search, retrieve and extract data ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

Experience interpreting and applying legislation, regulations and/or policies.
-
Experience with conflict management and dealing with emotionally charged individuals or groups.
Preferences may be given to applicants with the following experiences:

Experience providing supervision in a call center setting.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
