Description

The Team
The Revenue Division is a cornerstone of the province’s financial system, administering and collecting over $15 billion annually to fund vital public services for the citizens of British Columbia. Within the division, the Consumer Taxation Audit Branch (CTAB) plays a key role, conducting audits and inspections across a broad, regionalized consumption tax system that generates approximately $5 billion annually. The Role
The Audit Manager plays a vital leadership role within the Consumer Taxation Audit Branch (CTAB), overseeing the planning, organization, and delivery of the province’s audit program. This role ensures fair, consistent, and equitable administration of the province’s consumption tax system, contributing to the branch’s commitment to effective and inclusive public service. The Audit Manager fosters a collaborative environment that values diverse perspectives and strives for excellence in managing complex tax programs.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Professional accounting designation CPA - CA, CGA, CMA, issued by a Canadian Accounting Association. (Note: If your designation was obtained from outside of Canada, you will need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through an applicable Canadian Accounting Association.)
  • A minimum of 6 years of audit experience in a consumption taxes environment.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Valid Class 5, BC driver’s license or equivalent, with no L restrictions.
