The Team
The Business Planning and Project (BPP) Team within the Device Services Branch is an established team known for its hard work, great culture, and fun people who get things done. This team consists of 7 dedicated members within a larger Device Services Branch of 42 people. Potential applicants will work with Ministry Clients, Senior leadership across the public service, and may have supervisory responsibilities. The work done by this team has a significant impact across the public service, addressing issues related to device management, ordering devices, and refreshing workstations.
The BPP Team is made up of high performers who are collaborative, fun, solution-oriented, accountable, reliable, and responsive. You'll ensure that the business, financial, and information technology needs of clients are met through the effective integration and provision of Shared IT Services.
The Role
This role supports the entire public service with workstations that aid in serving the citizens of BC. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Degree in computer science field and 3 years of related experience, OR
- Diploma or Certificate in Information Technology (IT) program completion, or some IT course work and 5 years of related experience, OR
- Other relevant combination of education and related experience may be considered.
Related Experience:
- Two (2) years of experience providing business analysis on high risk projects, including management of financial and human resources.
- Six (6) months of experience leading project teams and/or staff, preference maybe given to applicants with 1 year or more experience.
- One (1) years of experience with support and management of contracts and managing IM/IT contracted services.

About this Position:
There are two (2) vacancies available:
- One (1), full time, permanent position.
- One (1), temporary opportunity until June 2025. This temporary opportunity may be extended and/or become permanent.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to five (5) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
