The Team
The Service BC & GDX Finance team is part of the Finance and Partnerships portfolio, focusing on budgeting and forecasting for Service BC and GDX programs. As part of an established team that recently expanded through a divisional reorganization, you’ll collaborate with a diverse group of five financial analysts, a supervisor, and other finance professionals in a team of approximately 24. The team thrives on collaboration and is highly valued for delivering financial reporting, guiding programs on budget management, and driving impactful financial insights.

The Role
As a Financial Analyst, you’ll produce reports that provide program areas with a clear understanding of their financial position, enabling them to plan services that benefit citizens within budget. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Diploma in the field of financial management, such as Level 1 or 2 of the Financial Management Certificate Program, or CPA/CA/CMA/CGA, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in conducting financial forecasts and analysis and in supporting budget evaluation processes for multiple business areas.
  • Experience analyzing financials and recommending reallocations.
  • Experience developing financial reports and briefing materials for executive.


Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

  • Experience using Corporate Accounting System (CAS).

About this Position:
Remote work is allowed, this position can work up to full time from their home in British Columbia subject to an approved telework agreement. The locations listed above are to assist applicants in searching for this opportunity and are not a complete list of locations.
