The Team
The Strategic Coordination Office Team is leading the critical work of transitioning the government-wide corporate finance system to the cloud. This established team of four professionals—a Director, Senior Product Manager, Senior Service Design Lead, and Project Manager—work closely with partners across government, including Finance and IT, to drive meaningful change. Their efforts are modernizing financial systems, enhancing efficiency, and contributing to a more inclusive and innovative government.
The Role
The Senior Product Manager will lead the development of a groundbreaking budgeting and forecasting application for government, driving transformational change across the organization. In this role, you will guide multidisciplinary agile teams, oversee product roadmaps, and manage budgets to deliver innovative solutions that meet diverse user needs. This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-impact initiative that integrates policy, procurement, and service improvement, while shaping the future of government financial systems.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Diploma or higher in a technology discipline, project management or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum five (5) years experience in product design and practices gained working in a product, project, or service capacity. Experience in product design and practices must include all of the following:
- Minimum three (3) years of experience using user-centered design practices in the development of digital products and services.
- Experience using modern agile project management practices, open-source development and cloud platforms to design, deliver and continuously improve high quality digital products and services.
- Experience managing complex enterprise IM/IT projects with multiple interdependencies including major business transformations, strategic communications, and the oversight of system integrators.
- Experience leading change management initiatives across a large organization.
- Experience in project management at the enterprise level.
- Experience in a leadership role in the successful delivery of digital products or services; successful design, delivery and ongoing management of high-quality services which maximized opportunities offered by digital technology.
- Experience interpreting user data and feedback to design and implement channel shift strategies to move users from traditional to digital delivery channels.
- Experience with related UX practices, including content design, content strategy and information architecture.

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to four (4) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
