Description

The Team
The Business System Development and Support team is a dedicated and established group of professionals working to improve how justice services are delivered to the people of British Columbia. Our team provides development, project management, business analysis, and operational support to Boards and Tribunals, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and innovation. With 14 members, the team includes developers, an architect, business analysts, technical coordinators, a scrum master, and application support specialists. We collaborate closely with product owners, subject matter experts, and justice service partners to create and enhance systems, primarily built on Salesforce, that streamline processes and improve access to justice.

Our work directly supports public-facing services that help individuals navigate some of the most complex and life-altering moments in their lives. Whether it's resolving disputes or accessing critical decisions, we ensure our justice partners have the digital tools and systems they need to serve the public efficiently and effectively. We’re proud to work in an environment where innovative thinking is encouraged, teamwork is essential, and the impact of our work is both meaningful and deeply rewarding.

The Role
As a Junior Business Analyst on our team, you’ll play a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions that improve access to justice services. Working alongside experienced analysts, developers, and stakeholders, you’ll contribute to projects that enhance and support critical systems used by Boards and Tribunals. Your work will involve gathering and analyzing business requirements, identifying process improvements, and translating those into clear technical specifications and workflows.

In this role, you’ll participate in system design and testing activities, help create user documentation, and deliver training to ensure smooth adoption of new tools and processes. You’ll also assist with project planning, resource coordination, and evaluating the feasibility and impact of proposed solutions—developing your skills in both technology and project delivery in a supportive, collaborative environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to grow, contribute to meaningful public service work, and help shape better systems for the people of British Columbia.
