The Team
The Court Services Branch is a dedicated and established team committed to ensuring equitable access to court administration with integrity, compassion, and service excellence. Team members work collaboratively with the Judiciary, Registry Staff, Court Clerks, and Deputy District Registrars, creating an engaged environment where diverse perspectives are valued and respected. The Role
As a Bilingual Program Coordinator, you will be the main point of contact for all French language court proceedings for the Province of British Columbia. In communication with other registries throughout the Province, you will be responsible for assigning clerks to both Provincial and Supreme matters, as well as organizing travel arrangements, and identifying training and development opportunities. Communication is an imperative aspect to this role as requests will be coordinated amongst several key justice partners, including, Supreme Court Schedulers, Judicial Case Managers, and counsel. The BC Public Service is seeking an individual who is committed to providing service to communities with both professionalism and cultural sensitivity.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year administrative experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in keyboarding, data entry, work processing, database, spreadsheet, internet and other standard computer applications
  • A combination of relevant experience, education and training will be considered when assessing required qualifications.


Preference may be given to those who:

  • Fluently speak, write, and read French
  • Experience in administration within the justice or legal system e.g. court setting or legal office
  • Experience in customer service
  • Experience in coordinating, developing, and facilitating training


Provisos:

  • Must pass enhanced security screening checks
  • Union membership is required
  • Must be willing to attend and complete relevant training programs
  • May be required to work in other areas of Court Services Branch
  • May be required to travel
  • May be required to work flexible hours, including varied shifts and overtime on short notice
