Description
The Team:
The Ministry of Energy and Climate Solutions is responsible for British Columbia’s electricity, alternative energy, and petroleum resource sectors, and supporting work to meet BC’s greenhouse gas reduction targets. The Clean Energy and Major Projects Office (CEMPO) is the primary government liaison for provincial matters related to clean energy and major projects, with responsibility for project management, coordinating inside and outside government to ensure that projects are meeting the Province’s priorities and objectives.
The Role:
As a Project Analyst with CEMPO, you will collaborate with diverse partners and stakeholders, including various government bodies and community organizations, to ensure policies are aligned and forward-thinking. You will contribute to the development of impactful policies in the energy sector by conducting in-depth research, analyzing key data, and crafting insightful recommendations that drive meaningful change. With opportunities to guide important projects, manage teams, and influence high-level decisions, you will be at the forefront of developing innovative solutions that make a real difference.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Natural Resource Management, Public Administration, or a related field and two (2) years of related experience; OR,
- Diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Natural Resource Management, Public Administration, or a related field and three (3) years of related experience; OR,
- Certificate or coursework in Business Administration, Commerce, Natural Resource Management, Public Administration, or a related field and four (4) years of related experience; OR,
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Related experience includes the following:
- Experience researching policy issues and conducting policy analysis.
- Experience managing projects and/or project components.
Preference may be given to those with:
- At least one (1) year of full-time work experience in research and policy analysis, or project management in major industrial and/or clean energy projects.

About this Position:
There is currently one (1) temporary, full time position available until September 1st, 2026; this may be extended or become permanent.
This position can be based in any Natural Resource Sector office. The locations listed above are to assist applicants in searching for this opportunity and are not a complete list of locations.
Depending on the successful candidate’s location, a bi-weekly isolation allowance may apply.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work a few days per week from home subject to an approved Telework Agreement.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
