The Team
The BC Review Board Registry team is a well-established group made up of key roles, including Hearing Administrators, a Scheduling team, Intake & Application Coordinator, Procedures Analyst and an Evidence and Records Coordinator, all supported by a Deputy Registrar and Registrar. The team is collaborative and works closely with Parties to the proceedings to ensure fair and efficient processes. The Role
Join a team dedicated to excellence and innovation! The Hearing Administrator at the BC Review Board (BCRB) is key to ensuring hearings run smoothly, from setup to management. This role involves creating essential documents such as dispositions, warrants, and orders while also maintaining accurate records through data entry and systems testing in Salesforce.
Special Notification:
The position deals with and reviews sensitive, stressful, and potentially disturbing subject matter such as videos, photos, documents, or other evidence submitted to the BC Review Board as part of the initial and ongoing review process.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Grade 12 graduation or equivalent (i.e. GED).
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative role in a legal or office environment.
- A minimum of 1 year of recent experience (within the last 3 years) working in a customer or client facing role, including multitasking and dealing with upset or hostile people.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working with video conferencing software, including troubleshooting technical issues.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience entering information in databases or case management systems.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working with various computer software and Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Professional software programs).
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- Experience with the Criminal Code of Canada XX.I and the Boards Rules and Procedures Governing the Review Board Process
- A valid Class 5 British Columbia Driver's License in good standing.
- Administrative support experience in a legal/court registry, administrative tribunal, mental health environment and/or justice sector.
- Experience with MSTeams.
- Experience with the understanding of Indigenous history and intergenerational trauma.
Willingness statement:
- May be required to travel within British Columbia.
- May be required to travel on small aircraft, boats and motor vehicles in adverse weather conditions.
- May be required to work overtime on short notice.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 4 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
This is a temporary opportunity until approximately May 31, 2026. This position may be extended or become permanent.
This position can be based out of any of the location(s) listed above.
