The Team
Join the Finance and Corporate Services Division, where you'll play a key role in supporting the Ministry of Health’s executive, programs, and health authorities. In this impactful position, you’ll contribute to financial and corporate services planning, policy development, and performance oversight, while ensuring compliance with key legislation and directives, all while helping shape the strategic goals of vital healthcare programs.

The Role
As a Team Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in providing expert budget and accounting services to the Ministry, driving continuous improvement through data analysis, visualization, and strategic advisory. You'll collaborate closely with program areas to support efficient forecasting practices, leveraging your problem-solving skills to enhance processes and innovation.


Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Master’s degree and 1 year of related experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of related experience; OR
  • Diploma and 3 years related experience; OR
  • Certificate or some post secondary coursework and 4 years related experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
     

Related experience must include all the following:

  • Experience in budget development and estimates preparation, financial planning and analysis, budget monitoring, and preparation of reports for executive staff.
  • Experience interpreting legislation and conducting analytical research to support budget development and evaluation.
  • Experience analyzing financial data for variances and trends and recommending remedial action.
     

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Additional years of experience.
  • A bachelor's degree or higher.

This position can be based out of any of the location(s) listed above.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home up to 5 days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
