The Team
The Health Professions and Occupations Regulatory Oversight Office (HPOROO) is a newly established, independent oversight body dedicated to administering the Health Professions and Occupations Act (HPOA) and providing centralized oversight of health profession and occupation regulatory colleges. This dynamic team works closely with external partners, the media, and the public to ensure transparency and accountability. By creating and maintaining clear, consistent, and accessible public-facing materials, the team plays a vital role in supporting health profession and occupation regulation and protecting the public interest

The Role
This position will design and deliver accessible learning experiences to help tribunal and board members understand their responsibilities under the Health Professions and Occupations Act (HPOA). The work will include developing training plans and learning activities that reflect changes in legislation, policy, and professional standards—ensuring members are prepared to make fair, informed decisions that protect the public from harm and discrimination. This position will also support the development of a new independent office that works to make health professional regulation more accountable, transparent, and accessible to the public. 

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in adult education or a related field and 1 year of related experience; OR
  • Diploma in adult education or a related field and 2 years related experience; OR
  • Certificate or coursework in adult education or a related field and 3 years related experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Related experience includes the following:

  • Experience in training and education management, including training development issues.  
  • Experience developing or amending training materials and programs.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Experience delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Experience managing procurement and/or contracts.

About this Position:
This is a temporary opportunity until December 31, 2025.
This position can be based out of any of the location(s) listed above.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to three (3) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.
