The Team
The Billing Integrity Team (BIP) is an established, collaborative group dedicated to ensuring fairness and sustainability in the Medical Services Plan. The team includes a Senior Director, Audit Manager, two Team Leads, six Senior Auditors, and two Administrative staff, working closely with medical consultants, legal counsel, and data analysts. Together, they make a real impact by recovering ineligible payments and supporting the long-term sustainability of health services. The Role

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA ­ CA, CGA or CMA) in good standing with at least 2 years of related experience. OR
  •  A Bachelor’s degree in a related field, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), in good standing, AND at least 3 years of recent, related experience.
  •  An equivalent combination of education and recent, related experience may be considered.
  • A valid BC Class 5 Driver’s Licence is required.

*NOTE – The 6.6% Temporary Market Adjustment (TMA) applies solely to the successful candidate with a Chartered Professional Accountant designation (including CA, CGA, CMA). The TMA will not be available should the successful candidate NOT have a recognized accounting designation.

Recent, related experience means the following:

  • Recent is defined as within the last 3 years.
  • Audit and/or accounting experience. For example, experience working with accounting principles, auditing standards, information technology and management auditing.
  • Completing complex analysis of large volumes of raw data.
  • Drafting audit reports to present to internal and/or external stakeholders

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

  • Supervisory experience.
  • With experience working in the health sector.
  • Currently enrolled in the CPA designation program.
  • Preference will be given to applicants who identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit).

Willingness Statement:
Willingness to conduct field work which includes travel within the province.

About this Position:
This position can be based out of any of the locations listed above.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to four (4) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
