The Team
The Planning, Reporting, and Projects branch is a collaborative and human-centered team dedicated to advancing reconciliation and strengthening relationships with Indigenous Peoples. You’ll join a well-established team of four policy professionals who work closely together and with other program areas to support the implementation of the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act. Our work has a meaningful impact across government by helping ministries deliver commitments in consultation and cooperation with Indigenous Peoples, ensuring a consistent and systemic approach to reconciliation.

The Role
In this role, you will lead research, analysis, and projects that shape policy and guide decision-making to support the implementation of the UN Declaration and the Declaration Act. Your work will have a meaningful impact by helping the province advance true and lasting reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples through coordinated, transparent, and systemic approaches. This position involves collaboration with Indigenous partners and ministries across government, ensuring diverse voices and perspectives are included in building solutions that matter.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in natural resource management, law, business administration, public administration, Indigenous studies, social sciences or equivalent education, and one (1) year of related experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Related experience must include all of the following:

  • Researching policy issues and conducting policy analysis.
  • Managing projects and/or project components.
  • Working in coordination/collaboration with other teams to complete tasks.

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

  • Experience working with Indigenous organizations or communities.
