The Team
The Abbotsford Law Courts Civil Court Registry is an established, collaborative team that plays a vital role in providing access to justice for the public. The team includes experienced registry clerks, combo clerks, and deputy district registrars who work together to support Supreme, Provincial Small Claims, and Family Court processes. The Role
As the Administrator, Civil Programs, you will lead the delivery of frontline services that support citizens, litigants, legal counsel, and the Judiciary, ensuring court programs operate effectively and in compliance with policy and legislation. This leadership role includes mentoring and training staff to maintain high standards of service, while fostering an inclusive and supportive team environment. It’s a unique opportunity to contribute to the justice system in a meaningful way, working collaboratively to ensure equitable access to justice for all.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED)
  • Must have or be eligible to obtain Certification as a Deputy District Registrar for Supreme Court within 6 months.
  • Three years of experience within the justice system or in a legal profession e.g., legal assistant, paralegal.
  • Minimum three years clerical/office experience or experience equivalent to two years working with Court Registry related documentation and processes.
  • Must have experience using computers and software programs .

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Experience using court related software such as JUSTIN and CEIS and Civil and Criminal e-tracking.
  • Two years as a Deputy District Registrar for Supreme Court
  • Two years of Supervisory Experience
  • Experience working in Supreme and/or Provincial Civil Programs
