Description

The Team
Abbotsford Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) is comprised of two CYMH teams that are co-located on the same floor of the same MCFD building in Abbotsford. While technically considered two teams, they do their work together as one. The team benefits from the diverse experiences and knowledge that each clinician brings to the table. The team is a mixture of senior and newer staff, who are looking for a leader who can work in close partnership with another team leader and balance the care of the team with the needs of our community. This team practices from an attachment-focused, systems-oriented framework while embracing trauma informed, culturally safe, evidence-based, wise practices. Integrated work with community agencies, health authority services, and school-based services are more the norm than the exception in this community.

The Role
The Team Leader will share responsibility for the leadership of the CYMH program in Abbotsford with another Team Leader. Together, the Team Leaders cultivate supportive supervisory relationships with clinicians as well as collaborative partnerships with other ministries and organizations.  This position requires someone creative and responsive, comfortable with change management, with active involvement with stakeholders across Ministries. The successful candidate will have to balance the needs of the clinicians they supervise while also working to advance Provincial MCFD and interministerial goals and strategies.
