The Team
The Indigenous Core Policing and Contract Management (ICPCM) Division’s overall responsibilities are superintendence and oversight of the Police Service Agreements (Provincial Police Service Agreement, Municipal Police Service Agreement and Municipal Police Unit Agreement) pertaining to Core Policing administration/programs/initiatives, the Indigenous Policing Program Agreements (Framework Agreement, Community Tripartite Agreement, Self-Administered Policing Agreement, and Enhanced Policing Agreement), including program administration, and Police Model Transitions. The Division is headed by the Executive Director ICPCM and reports to the Deputy Director of Police Services.
The Role
As the Office Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring that the Executive Director and Deputy Director of Police Services can work in a well-organized and supportive environment. This role involves understanding the important work being done by the offices of the Policing and Security Branch (PSB), as well as how it connects to our external partners and other programs within the Ministry. To thrive in this position, you'll need to handle sensitive and confidential matters with care, stay organized in a busy setting, and communicate clearly with a diverse range of clients. If you're someone who enjoys juggling multiple tasks and can adapt to changing priorities, this role will be a great fit for you.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Grade 12 plus a certificate in office administration or an equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience may be considered.
- Office experience working in a confidential capacity with a high degree of diplomacy and discretion.
- Office experience preparing agendas and recording and circulating meeting minutes.
- Minimum one year experience using – Microsoft office i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Professional software programs.
- Keyboarding speed of 30 or more words per minute.
- Preference may be give to candidates with intermediate or higher excel.
- Preference may be given to candidates with CLIFF experience.
- Preference may be given to candidates with ORCS/ARCs experience.
- Preference may be given to candidates with experience in the justice sector.
PROVISO:
- Position is expected to be in the Surrey office location 3 times a week and occasional travel to the Vancouver office may be required.

Position is available in Surrey.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work 2 days at home per week subject to an approved Telework Agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies in Surrey.
Enhanced Security Screening will be required.
