The Team
The successful candidate will join the consultation team, an established group of five dedicated professionals, who care for each other and the work they are doing. This collaborative team works closely with the authorizations, Stewardship (Woodlots), and tenures business areas to ensure consultation requirements are met efficiently and respectfully.
The Role
This position plays a pivotal role in supporting woodlot authorizations by initiating, engaging, and providing consultation summaries. The work is essential to ensuring responsible resource management, supporting local woodlot licencees, and advancing critical economic and Treaty 8 related commitments.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in natural resource management, public administration, business administration, law or other relevant discipline and minimum 3 years of related experience; OR Master’s Degree in natural resource management, public administration, business administration, law or other relevant discipline and minimum 1 year of related experience.
- An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
- Experience conducting research and analysis related to land use, resource management, social or economic development issues.
Preference may be given to those with:
- Three (3) or more years experience working with Indigenous communities and leading First Nations consultations.
- Supervisory experience.

About this Position:
This is for one (1) permanent opportunity in Fort Nelson.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
