This is a restricted lateral posting open to employees who hold a Grid 21 base position.
Job Overview
The position is responsible for conducting audits and other compliance initiatives under, and supporting administration of, one or more branch tax or credit programs under provincial legislation.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Diploma in a related field such as Business Administration, Law, Accounting, Finance plus, a minimum of 2 years of *related experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
*Related experience must include each of the following:
- Experience preparing, auditing, or reviewing and analyzing applications, supporting documentation, financial statements or tax returns, or budget preparation and analysis.
- Experience interpreting and applying legislation, regulation and/or policies.
- Experience dealing with potentially hostile or contentious situations and/or phone calls.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- Additional years of related experience.
- Experience in tax administration assessing returns and applications for compliance.
- Experience with COVID 19 benefit programs and tax credit programs.
- Experience with Gentax.
