The Team
The leadership teams within the Adult Custody, Lower Mainland Correctional Centres is a well-established group dedicated to supporting staff and ensuring smooth operations across the correctional centre. With approximately 30-50 supervisors and managers, the teams excel in providing effective risk-based supervision, delivering proven rehabilitation programs, and maintaining fiscal efficiency. The Role
In this role, you'll have the chance to rotate through various Correctional Supervisor positions, providing essential training, guidance, and support to Correctional Officers in a 24/7 operation. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety during immediate events like disruptions or assaults, and you'll be the go-to authority in these situations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include supervising operations, resolving conflicts, overseeing inmate work programs, and promoting important treatment programs. This position offers an exciting growth opportunity for those looking to advance their careers and develop their skills while making a real impact. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Two working years experience as a BC Correctional Officer;
  • Correctional Officer status; and
  • Completion of 25 hours of courses in the Correctional Officer Learning and Development (COLD) certificate.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Previous experience as an acting Correctional Supervisor.
