Description

This is a restricted lateral posting open to employees who hold a Band 2 base position.

Job Overview:
The Manager of Business Operations oversees the delivery of a diverse range of financial management, human and physical resources and administrative services ensuring the appropriate resources, policy practices and controls are in place.  The manager is responsible for establishing priorities, allocating resources and resolving issues affecting Provincial Operations.  

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
•    Master’s degree and two years of related experience; OR 
•    Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, public administration, or commerce, and three years of directly related experience in a financial or administration role; OR
•    An equivalent education and experience may be considered.

Related Experience may include:
•    Experience developing, managing and delivering programs or services related to financial or administrative services, strategic business planning, and procurement.
•    Experience in program administration including allocating resources, leading and coaching diverse teams and supervising staff.

Preference may be given to applicants with one or more of the following:
•    Candidates with Professional accounting designation (i.e., CPA).
•    Experience, supervising, leading, coaching, and mentoring staff.
•    Experience related to GAAP accounting systems and techniques.

This position may work out of any BC Timber Sales location. The locations listed above are to assist applicants in searching for this opportunity and are not a complete list of locations.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
