Job Overview
The Third Party Liability (TPL) work unit is responsible for the recovery of health care costs paid by the Province of British Columbia on behalf of injured British Columbia residents in situations where a third party is liable for the injuries. These recoveries will be made from Canadian Private Insurance Companies, Out-of-Country Insurers as well as Self-Insured Entities.
The Revenue Analyst has primary responsibility for processing all incoming cheques and bi-weekly electronic funds transfers for the Third Party Liability work unit. The position is responsible for the recording of revenue, BCHIP mail system and the distribution of incoming mail. The position receives information from a variety of sources to review, investigate and distribute.
This position reports to the Business Administrator, Third Party Liability, working in a high-volume environment characterized by highly sensitive information. Accuracy, efficiency and security of information is required. The position interacts with adjusters, Ministry of Justice staff, and other staff within Third Party Liability.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Grade 12 graduation or equivalent.
- At least two (2) years clerical/administrative support experience.
- At least one (1) year experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) in an office environment.
- At least six (6) months experience managing financial transactions/activities (e.g. accounts payable/receivable, petty cash reconciliation, etc.).
- Experience working in databases or complex spreadsheets entering data and pulling reports.
Preferences:
- More than 1 year experience in each of the above statements.
- Education and/or training in clerical/administrative support.
