This is a restricted lateral posting open to employees who hold a grid 18 base position

Job Overview
Child Care Operating Funding (CCOF) assists with the day-to-day costs of running a licensed child care facility, helping child care providers keep parent fees affordable, providing fair salaries to child care staff, and maintaining quality child care in communities across British Columbia.

The Trainer develops training programs and trains staff on said programs. The Trainer also provides evaluation mechanisms and support for the training program.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Diploma in education (K-12, adult, etc.) or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
  • Experience delivering training programs and engaging participants in learning activities
  • Experience creating, facilitating and delivering training materials and/or program content

Preference may be given to candidates with experience in one (1) or more of the following:

  • Interpreting policy and adjudicating programs
  • Working in government Child Care Programs
  • Developing and delivering training in a public sector, education and/or child care setting
  • Facilitating and delivering presentations
  • Additional years of experience in any of the above experience requirements and/or preferences

About this Position:
Remote work is allowed. This position can work up to full time from their home in British Columbia subject to an approved Telework Agreement. The position headquarters will be Victoria or Vancouver. Please contact the hiring manager for further details or if you have any questions.
