Description

This is a restricted lateral posting open to employees who hold a grid 21 base position.

Job Overview
To conduct advanced spatial data analysis in support of management decision making on resource planning, land management or other program issues.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, coursework in natural resource management and 1 year of related experience; OR
  • Diploma in GIS, coursework in natural resource management and 2 years related experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Related experience includes the following:

  • Experience designing and developing customized spatial applications and preparing recommendations based on natural resource interpretations.
  • Experience delivering spatial analysis projects in support of client’s business needs.

Preference may be given to candidates with the following:

  • At least one (1) year experience providing support to Range, Stewardship and Tenures business lines.
  • At least one (1) year experience providing spatial analysis to geographically dispersed teams.
