Job Overview
The Change Management Specialist is a skilled communicator and planner, able to create compelling, persuasive plans, content and activities to support direct service staff through change. As a skilled facilitator, the Change Management Specialist provides advice, expertise and consultation to program leaders and senior leadership to support a diverse portfolio of projects and initiatives from concept through to completion. This position supports implementation of significant change across a number of high-profile projects, initiatives, and programs.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (change management, project management, communications, marketing, journalism, leadership, or public sector management) and 2 years of related experience; OR
- Diploma in a related field and 3 years related experience; OR
- Certificate or coursework in a related field and 4 years related experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Related experience should include the following:
- Experience leading change management initiatives with internal and external impacts.
- Experience coaching senior staff and project managers through their change management roles and responsibilities.
- Experience with change and project management principles and practices.
Preference may be given to candidates with one or more of the following:
- Additional years of directly related experience.
- Experience concisely and persuasively writing a range of documents and content for senior leaders and executive (e.g. presentations, briefing notes, discussion papers, fact sheets, correspondence).
- Experience developing, fostering and maintaining effective relationships with executive, senior leaders, external partners and stakeholders.
- Certification in change management by an accredited organization.
- An advanced degree (e.g. Masters) in a related field.
- Self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, status or non-status, Métis, or Inuit) with the required combination of education and experience.

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 4 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
