Job Overview
The business modernization and analytics team is a well-established, collaborative group that plays a critical role in supporting the ministry’s digital systems, data analytics, and service platforms. With approximately 17 team members across two specialized units—one focused on IMIT platforms and digital infrastructure, and the other on data analytics and evidence-based reporting—the team brings deep technical expertise and a strong commitment to inclusive, client-centered service delivery. We value diverse perspectives, lived experiences, and a team-first mindset, and we work closely with internal and external partners to ensure our systems and insights support equitable outcomes for all British Columbians.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Master’s degree and six (6) months of related experience; OR
- Bachelor’s Degree and one (1) year of related experience; OR
- Diploma and two (2) years of related experience; OR
- Certificate or coursework and three (3) years of related experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Months/Years of related experience must be in each of the following.
- Experience in working collaboratively with various internal and external partners on business process change projects.
- Experience with business applications including implementation planning and testing, security and the development of analytical reports.
- Experience providing business analysis, requirements gathering, testing, supporting and or maintaining for complex systems/services which have multi-ministry stakeholders or multiple lines of business.
Preferences may be given to candidates with:
- Experience implementing information systems or applications to support policy initiatives.
- Experience using Jira to capture and manage business requirements in an Agile environment, including documenting user stories, acceptance criteria and supporting backlog refinement with delivery teams.

This position can be based out of any of the location(s) listed above.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home up to 5 days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
There is currently a temporary opportunity available until March 27, 2027.
