Job Overview
This position is responsible for negotiating the less complicated aspects of new lease and licence agreements, as well as the renewal of existing agreements, and the administration of leases, licences and right-of-way agreements throughout their negotiated terms. It serves as the business area expert for program area information systems, providing key insight into the functions and requirements of the unit.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Degree in Urban Land Economics, Geography, Planning, Natural Resource Management, Public or Business Administration, Law or related discipline, plus a minimum of two (2) years of experience conducting one or more of the following: real estate/land administration, legal assistant, conveyancing, database management, office management, financial officer or property negotiations; OR
- Diploma in Urban Land Economics, Geography, Planning, Natural Resource Management, Public or Business Administration, or a related discipline plus a minimum of three (3) years of experience conducting one or more of the following: real estate/land administration, legal assistant, conveyancing, database management, office management, financial officer or property negotiations; OR
- Registered or eligible to register with a professional designation in Certified Project Management (CPM), Real Estate Institute of British Columbia RI(BC), or Senior Right of Way Professional (SR/WA) or their equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years of related real estate experience.
Preference may be given to those with one (1) or more of the following:
- Experience working with and creating legal documents in a Real Estate environment.
- Experience dealing with the provincial land titles system, statutory rights of way, covenants, leases and tenancies.
- Experience in the transfer of titles in land and assets.
- Experience in contract management.
- Experience referencing, interpreting and applying legislative and/or regulatory documentation.

About this Position:
There is currently one (1) permanent, full time position available.
This position is located in Victoria.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to two (2) days at home per week subject to an approved Telework Agreement.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies in Victoria.
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.
