Job Overview
As the key administrative lead supporting the District Service Manager, the Senior District Clerk plays a pivotal role in keeping district operations running smoothly. This position oversees contract documentation, CAS/ORCA reconciliation, purchasing and asset control, leave management, and a range of personnel-related functions. The Senior District Clerk also responds to public inquiries, leads the Hired Equipment process, provides program-wide administrative support, and offers guidance to fellow District Clerks—making a meaningful impact across the entire district team.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements:
- University or college degree and one (1) year related experience; OR,
- Diploma in a related field of study and two (2) years of related experience; OR,
- Grade 12 (or GED) and a minimum of four (4) years of related experience.
- Experience in overseeing procurement, asset control, and inventory management.
- Experience handling public inquiries and providing guidance to administrative staff.
Preference may be given to those with one or both of the following:
- Experience with Ministry of Transportation and Transit financial and administrative policies, procedures and programs.
- Experience in various Ministry computer applications including Oracle, Corporate Accounting System (CAS), Integrated Project Services (IPS – NEW System), Time and Leave (TLAM) and Hired Equipment Tracking System (HETS).

This position is based in Kamloops.
