Job Overview
The Manager of Divisional Operations supports the development of the service plan, coordinates issues management, leads projects and manages Executive communications and finances. The position supports cross-program projects, facilitates the flow of information, handles finances, and prepares for and attends meetings on behalf of the ADM. The position is also responsible for overseeing all HR functions within the division, including workforce planning, recruitment processes, and job classification reviews.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Completion of a relevant post-secondary Diploma/Certificate (such as business administration, communications, social sciences, or public administration) and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Related Experience may include:
- Experience in a senior administrative role, providing direct support to an Executive (Executive Director, Assistant Deputy Minister, or Deputy Minister).
- Experience dealing with highly confidential and sensitive issues.
- Experience working with financial and contract management.
- Experience providing advice to staff on operational and/or HR matters.
- Experience guiding staff to work within government’s decision-making process.

About this Position:
There is currently one (1) permanent, full time position available.
This position is located in Victoria.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days per week subject to an approved Telework Agreement.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies in Victoria.
This position is excluded from union membership.
