The Team
You will join the Information Services team with the Residential Tenancy Branch, an established and highly collaborative group that plays a key role in supporting landlords and tenants across British Columbia. The team provides timely, accurate information to help prevent disputes and ensure people can access the right services when they need them. Known for their thoughtful, steady approach, the team combines expertise with compassion to build trust and support fair outcomes.

The Role
In this role, you will lead the daily operations of a high-volume Information Services team, including supervising staff and managing complex hearing schedules through the RTB’s dispute management system. You will support staff development, ensure service standards are met, and help resolve complex or sensitive client issues. This is a dynamic leadership opportunity where your work directly contributes to timely dispute resolution and a fair, accessible tenancy system for people across B.C.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • A diploma in Business Administration, Public Administration, Technology, Management, or related field.
  • An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a high volume, fast paced contact/call center environment or customer service environment including telephone & email.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience including: performance management, staff training, coaching, mentoring, and conflict resolution.
  • Experience managing complex and critical schedules.
  • Experience in the interpretation and application of legislation or complex policy.


Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

  • Experience in Project Management
  • Two (2) years of experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced, processing environment managing complex files.
  • Experience in application of the Residential Tenancy Act and the Manufactured Home Park Tenancy Act
  • Experience with the RTB’s Dispute Management System, including hearing scheduling.

About this Position:
This is a temporary opportunity until December 4, 2026 with the possibility of extension and/or the position becoming permanent.
This position can be based out of any of the location(s) listed above.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work five (5) or more days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.
