Job Summary
This is a restricted lateral posting open to employees who hold a AO21 base position

Job Overview
To manage a medium-term project or several smaller scope projects with significant internal impact to the business. Accountable for defining and controlling all project activities to ensure delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and specified quality. To manage project resources, monitor progress, identify risks, and ensure projects are delivered within specified parameters, conducting post-implementation reviews for improvement.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Master’s degree and six months of related experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year of related experience; OR
  • Diploma and 2 years related experience; OR
  • Certificate or coursework and 3 years related experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Related experience may include:

  • Experience managing projects and/or project components.
  • Experience directing the work of contracted and staff resources.

Preference may be given to candidates with any of the following

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Designation within 6 months of commencement of position
  • Certified associate in project management (CAPM) certification
  • Experience leading or facilitating discussions with diverse groups of interested parties.
  • Experience working with the BC Wildfire Service.

About this Position:
This position can be performed from any BC Wildfire Service office in BC. Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established for future temporary and/or permanent opportunities.
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
