Job Overview
The Manager, Electrical Services and Pavement Marking is an integral part of the Southern Interior Region’s Operations team. The Regional Operations team administers the Electrical Maintenance Services Agreement, the Pavement Marking Services Agreement, and other Operational Contracts including but not limited to the Rumble Strip Program, the Inlaid Pavement Marking Program, and Transverse Marking Program as part of the Ministry’s (asset) Preservation program. Regional Operations are a direct link between the Ministry and the public, providing a key transportation link in a multi-modal environment.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Professional Engineer and one-year related experience OR;
- University or college degree in a related field of study of study and one year of related experience OR ;
- Diploma from a recognized Institute of Technology (e.g. Applied Science Technologist and Technicians of BC) in a related field of study and a minimum of 3 years related experience OR;
- Grade 12 or GED and a minimum of 5 years related experience.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Valid Class 5 BC Drivers licence in good standing.
- Successful criminal record check.
* Related experience may include, (but is not limited to) experience such as contract management, program administration, project management, and operations management.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- Experience in implementation of Quality Management Systems.
- Experience with inspection and testing procedures for electrical installations and/or pavement markings.

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
