Job Overview
The Senior Manager of Finance and Administration leads the HRSD Headquarters financial team and coordinates the three regional finance teams, which serve the division’s ~1,100 employees. The Senior Manager provides strategic financial advice to the Associate Deputy Minister and the division’s executive, leads the division’s budget development, financial reporting and analyses, and develops and implements budgets and financial plans with the regional finance managers. The position also coordinates the division’s reporting to the corporate finance team.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Professional accounting designation (CA or CPA or CGA or CMA) preferred, OR;
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Commerce, Business or Public Administration; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered (e.g. two (2) year diploma or certificate program with a financial focus, combined with recent progressive experience that demonstrates the required skill set.)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in providing:
- Financial management including budget development, analysis, forecasting and reporting.
- Advising a diverse portfolio of clients in a customer service environment.
- Issues management and strategic problem solving.
- Providing leadership, expertise and advice to senior or executive management teams, staff and partners.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 3 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
