Job Overview
The User Experience Design Tech Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving digital products with a strong focus on user experience. This role combines hands‑on web development with UX design practices to ensure online content, tools, and services are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with organizational objectives. The analyst conducts user research, designs wireframes and prototypes, creates and updates web content, and implements front‑end solutions within established standards and design systems. They apply WCAG accessibility requirements, analyze user behaviour and web analytics to inform continuous improvements, and collaborate closely with stakeholders, content creators, and technical teams to deliver user‑centred digital experiences.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Degree, diploma, certification or equivalent in the computer science field and a minimum of one (1) year of experience as described below (preference may be given to applicants with 2 years or more experience); OR
- Equivalent combination of education and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience.
Demonstrated experience:
- Experience with mock-ups, prototyping, wireframes and creating IAs (information architectures).
- Experience using, customizing and maintaining content management systems, like CMS Lite, Drupal and WordPress.
- Experience creating and editing web-ready graphical content.
- Experience with user experience (UX) design, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to identify user needs and pain points.
- Experience troubleshooting, testing, implementing web applications, software and hardware solutions.
- Experience with tools common to server administration and release management (e.g. version control, remote connectivity, SQL, integrated development environments, etc.).
- Experience performing updates, security patches, and version upgrades (e.g., Drupal 8–11).
- Front‑end development experience using HTML5, CSS.
- Experience optimizing content for SEO/SEM and findability (e.g., metadata, headings).
Preference may be given to applicants with the following:
- Experience with all phases of project management and change management.
- Experience working with Drupal core, contributed modules, and themes.
- Experience with Drupal site building: Views, Layout Builder, Webforms, etc.
- Experience with a programming language (preferably java).
- Experience writing and editing plain-language content for web pages that meet user needs.

About this Position:
This position can be based out of the locations listed above.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 3 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
