Job Overview
Reporting to the Senior Director of Legislation, the Manager, Policy and Legislation leads complex policy and legislative projects that support the branch’s priorities and respond to emerging issues. This role involves researching, analyzing, and shaping policy options by considering diverse perspectives, including those of different communities, ministries, and jurisdictions, to ensure balanced and inclusive outcomes. Working with a high level of independence, the Manager helps develop timely, thoughtful solutions that reflect equity, diversity, and inclusion while aligning with government goals.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- University degree in public policy, law, public administration, or political science.
- Experience conducting research and policy analysis; demonstrated ability to analyze, research, plan and deliver new programs.
- Experience working with senior government officials and senior level professions.
Related experience must include all of the following:
- Experience researching, analyzing, developing and delivering complex policy and legislation initiatives or program reforms.
- Experience working with teams and committees of senior managers.
- Experience developing and providing options and policy recommendations to enable decisions.

About this Position:
Remote work is allowed, this position can work up to full time from their home in British Columbia subject to an approved Telework Agreement.
