This is a restricted lateral posting open to employees who hold a Band 3 base position.
Job Overview
The Manager, Property Transfer Tax (PTT) manages the operations and compliance teams in a fast paced and dynamic environment that is increasingly reliant on sophisticated and integrated systems. These teams lead PTT’s customer service response, conduct audits of numerous different exemptions claimed, and manage various financial processes. This position also manages the Land Owner Transparency Registry enforcement project and will take a lead in defining the program’s system solutions.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
A minimum of 2 years (preference may be given to applicants with more years) of recent and related experience in:
- Leadership that includes assignment of work, development of performance plans, supporting and/or hiring employees.
- Conducting compliance audits and reviews, such as interpretation and application of legislative rules and policies, assessment of audit risk to target areas/files of higher risk, application of professional judgement to make decisions on non-routine transactions and client interactions which may sometimes be contentious.
- Program operations, such as contributing to strategic, business and/or operational plans.
Preference may be given to applicants:
