This is a restricted lateral posting open to employees who hold a Clerk 9 base position.

Job Overview

The Administrative Assistant, Provincial Field Services, reporting to the Office Manager, Provincial Field Services, is responsible to provide a variety of office administrative, secretarial and operational support for the Provincial Field Services Unit.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Two years clerical/administrative support experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and/or training.
  • Successful completion of security screening requirements of the BC Public Service, which may include a criminal records check, and/or Criminal Records Review Act (CRRA) check, and/or enhance security screening checks as required by the Ministry.
  • Valid Class 5 Motor Vehicle License.
  • You must be willing and able to travel throughout the Province of BC.

Preference may be given to those applicants with 1 or more of the following:

  • PeopleSoft (CHIPS) for HR, pay and benefit inquiries and training administration.
  • ARCS/ORCS records management system experience.
  • Time and Leave Administration, experience dealing with complex schedules.
  • Experience editing and maintaining websites using CMS Lite.
