Job Overview
Under the general supervision of the Office Manager, the Financial Clerks process our District and Work Program expenditure commitments and accounts payable transactions, issue invoices and collect receivables for the Work Programs, process financial transactions for the Inmate Benefit Fund and the Inmate Trust Fund, enter employee leaves into TOL and act as the primary resource for payroll activities, and provide backup to other areas in the centre as required.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year recent (within the last 5 years) financial work experience; OR
- A combination of experience and education may be considered.
- Experience and training in software applications (database/spreadsheet/QuickBooks/word processing).
- Experience with the Provincial Government’s computerized financial systems (e.g. CAS ORACLE, IProcurement, TOL or CORNET).
- A valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License is required.
