Job Overview

The Strengthening Abilities and Journeys of Empowerment (SAJE) and Services to Adults with Developmental Disabilities (STADD) programs are transition supports designed to help youth and young adults in British Columbia move successfully into adulthood.

STADD supports youth and young adults with developmental disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, or FASD (generally ages 16–24) by providing structured, person‑centred transition planning. The program focuses on preparing for adulthood across life areas such as education, employment, housing, health care, financial security, and community participation, while coordinating supports across multiple ministries and community partners.

SAJE provides transition planning and ongoing supports for youth and young adults with care experience, beginning as early as age 14 and extending into adulthood (up to age 27 for some supports). The program offers planning assistance and access to a comprehensive range of supports, including financial supports to post-majority young adults, health and wellness, education and training, life‑skills development, and cultural connections, to promote long‑term stability, independence, and well‑being.
