Job Overview
The Senior Policy Analyst is responsible for independently coordinating and conducting research, analysis, development, and implementation of strategic policies and legislation for the Child Welfare and Reconciliation Policy Branch.
The Senior Policy Analyst works collaboratively with other Ministry policy teams and regional staff, cross-ministry partners, and external partners on child and youth well-being supports, policy development and communications.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:

Undergraduate degree in public administration, social services, communications, Indigenous studies, political science, child and youth care, inclusion, health, or education and two (2) years’ related experience.

Equivalent experience in education may be considered.

Two years’ related experience in:
o Researching, analyzing, and developing policy and/or policy recommendations.
o Planning, coordinating, and executing complex projects/assignments.
o Concisely and persuasively writing a range of documents/content.
o Designing and implementing inclusive engagement plans and processes. -
Preference may be given to applicants with:
o Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with Indigenous communities, other levels of government and/or external partners.
o Experience planning and conducting distinctions-based engagements.
o Applicants who self-identify as First Nations, Metis or Inuit with the required combination of education and experience.

About this Position:
This is a Full Time Temporary assignment to May 16, 2027.

This position may work from home up to 4 days per week.
