Job Overview
The Contract and Partnership Analyst (CAPA) is responsible for the oversight of WorkBC services in communities across British Columbia, including WorkBC Employment Services, WorkBC Apprentice Services, WorkBC Assistive Technology Services and referrals to Community and Employer Partnership (CEP) projects. As the Ministry's primary contact for contractor communication and overall contract management, the CAPA is responsible for managing ministry interests in the day-to-day administration of all WorkBC contracts. This includes responsibility for contract compliance, communications, risk and issues management, performance and budget management, and initiating actions to support contract amendments.
The CAPA plays an integral role in supporting ministry objectives and is a liaison with contracted service providers and other community organizations, to build and foster collaborative working relationships. This position ensures service delivery approaches meet the needs of the communities and that issues, drivers and trends impacting contract performance and budget projections are addressed proactively.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in a related field (such as public administration, social sciences or commerce), and one year (1) *related experience; OR
- Post-secondary diploma in a related field (such as public administration, social sciences or commerce) and two years (2) *related experience; OR
- A certificate in a related field (such as public administration, social sciences or commerce) and three years (3) *related experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
*Related experience must include all of the following:
- Experience establishing and maintaining collaborative working relationships within a team, and with internal and external partners and/or other interested parties.
- Experience in contract management and/or project management.
Preference may be given for:
- Experience in budget management and forecasting.
- Experience in delivering or managing employment programs.

About this Position:
This position may be located in any Social Development & Poverty Reduction office: Abbotsford, Kamloops, Nanaimo, Prince George, Surrey or Victoria.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to five (5) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
