Job Overview
This position supports the Crown Land Authorizations Strategic and Priority Projects Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop leadership and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment, contributing to responsible Crown Land that supports economic development and reconciliation efforts in BC. The primary focus of this role will be to support the Adventure Tourism Hub team; the position may also support the Lands Authorizations team on other projects and initiatives in the future.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in the natural resource field or equivalent as recognized by the relevant association.
• Experience in negotiating and consulting with partners in natural resource management
• Experience (field/office) working in resource management.
• Must be registered, or immediately eligible for registration, as a Professional Forester with Forest Professionals BC (FPBC); OR, a Professional Agrologist with the British Columbia Institute of Agrologists (BCIA); OR, a Professional Engineer/Geoscientist with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC). Note: immediately eligible for registration is defined as being able to obtain registration in BC from a current membership from an applicable jurisdiction. Applicants must confirm their eligibility with the appropriate BC association (FPBC, BCIA, EGBC).
Willingness Statements
• Must possess a valid British Columbia Class 5 Driver’s License
• Meet safety standards of WorkSafe BC.
• Conduct field work which may include travel to remote areas by vehicle, boat, air, or foot, overnight or extended stay in rough camp conditions and outdoor work in all weather conditions.

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home up to 5 days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
