Job Overview
As a member of an FRCR team, you will primarily conduct Financial Risk and Controls Reviews. In addition, you may assist with audits and advisory services, including research and analysis, review information provided to IAAS, interviews with ministries, Crowns and other agencies, preparation of reports and drafting recommendations. For Information Technology (IT) Auditors, in addition to non-IT projects, this role conducts audits of information systems including governance and management of IT within the public sector, information technology procurement, application development and implementation, IT security practices and data management.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Completion of a recognized Canadian accounting designation or equivalency, and/or
- Other relevant education, including MPA, MBA, CIA or CISA.
- Preference may be given to applicants with CPA and/or CISA designations.
- Minimum of one year of recent related experience in audit/advisory, and/or experience in IM/IT.
- Preference may be given to applicants with a minimum of one year of experience in internal or performance audit, and/or advisory services focused on IM/IT.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Willingness statement
- Occasional travel outside the Victoria area is a requirement of this position.

This position can be based out of any of the location(s) listed above.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 4 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
