Job Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst provides senior financial, budget, accounting and advisory services for government’s capital and real estate operational portfolio managed by the Corporate Services Division of the Ministry of Infrastructure to support business outcomes across all ministries.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Professional accounting designation (CPA) is required with combination of related experience. Must be a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants BC (CPABC) with good stand.
- Related experience must include all of the following:
- Developing and preparing financial reports for senior ministry staff.
- Budget development, forecasting, financial analysis and budget monitoring.
- Interpreting policies or legislation and providing advice to support budget development, forecasting, accounting treatments and various other financial matters.
- Analyzing financial data for variances and trends and recommending remedial action.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- Experience working with capital budgets and transactions.
- Supervisory experience.
