This is a restricted lateral posting open to employees who hold a Band 3 base position.

Job Overview
This position leads the development and management of strategic, high impact/risk stakeholder relationships, including the management of multi-disciplinary projects and initiatives, to raise awareness about and provide direction and advice on accessibility, and develop an infrastructure for improved information sharing about programs, services, and resources available for people with disabilities within government and across B.C.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Completion of a university degree in a relevant discipline such as Public Administration, Economics, Law or Social Science and a minimum of three (3) years *related experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.


A minimum of three (3) years *related experience must include all the following:

  • Experience leading stakeholder relations including consulting on complex initiatives, particularly those that cross jurisdictional boundaries, affect multiple stakeholders, and have potential legislative and regulatory impacts.
  • Experience in leadership roles in a professional service, sales, or stakeholder management environment.
  • Experience in creating and delivering executive-level presentations for the purpose of decision making.
  • Experience establishing collaborative relationships with senior leaders and leading organizational change associated with implementation.  
  • Experience managing a team and providing direction and support to team members.


Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

  • More than five (5) years *related experience in all the above noted statements.
  • Persons identifying with lived experience of disability.

About this Position:
This is a temporary opportunity until July 2, 2027, with the possibility of extension and/or the position becoming permanent.
Flexible work options are available, this position may be able to work up to three (3) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
