The Team
You will join the Workers’ Advisers Office (WAO), a collaborative team that helps injured workers and their dependents navigate claims, appeals, and occupational health and safety matters under the Workers Compensation Act. Working alongside experienced professionals across the province, you will be part of a supportive organization that values teamwork, mentorship, and delivering meaningful services to workers throughout British Columbia.
The Role
As Director of Program Delivery, you will lead and support a team of Workers’ Advisers in delivering high-quality advocacy, advice, and representation services to injured workers. You will provide operational leadership, coaching, and strategic direction while helping ensure services are delivered consistently, effectively, and in accordance with legislative requirements.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- University degree in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience (i.e. diploma in a related discipline plus seven (7) years of experience; no degree or diploma but ten (10) years of related training and experience).
- Five (5) years experience interpreting and applying workers compensation legislation, regulations, policies and practice.
- Experience representing clients before appeal bodies.
- Experience leading professional teams and resolving complex staff and/or client issues.
- Leadership experience in a client-service focused area.
Preference may be given to candidates with the following:
- Experience working in the BC workers compensation system.
Provisos / Willingness statement:
- Travel outside of regular work hours may be required to regional offices across the Province.
