Job Overview
The Executive Administrative Assistant provides secretarial and administrative services to an Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM). Highly organized, you capably prioritize and manage your workload to meet deadlines, using your outstanding eye for detail to ensure all work is carried out to a high standard. You are an effective communicator, able to successfully establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of partners and interest holders and demonstrate initiative and good judgment in applying procedures within established policies and guidelines. 

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Certificate or coursework and 1 year of *related experience, OR
  • Secondary School graduation (Dogwood, GED) and 2 years of *related experience, OR
  • Evergreen and 3 years *related experience, OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and *related experience may be considered.
  • *Related experience must include each of the following:
    • Office experience working in a confidential capacity.
    • Experience supporting a senior executive, including calendar management, scheduling meetings, and making travel arrangements.
    • Experience with the CLIFF tracking system, eApprovals and ARC/ORCS records management policies, procedures and guidelines.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Experience working with Indigenous organizations and/or communities.
  • Individuals who identify as Indigenous.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available. This position may be able to work up to 3 day at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
This position is excluded from union membership.
