This is a restricted lateral posting open to employees who hold a Grid 12 base position.
Job Overview
This position supervises administrative staff and provides financial, human resource and front-line support services. This position is required to set priorities and is part of the office leadership team.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Secondary School graduation and one year of related experience working in a clerical, secretarial, receptionist or administrative support role;.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Minimum keyboard speed of 30 words per minute;
- A valid Class 5 B.C. driver’s license without restrictions or an equivalent Canadian driver’s license is required.
Preferred Requirements:
- Preference may be given to applicants with one year of supervisory experience and/or more than one-year related experience in a clerical, secretarial, receptionist, or administrative role.
- Preference may be given to applicants with experience working in an office setting providing services within the Justice System (Court Services, Correctional Centre, BC Prosecution Services, Youth Justice, legal office, justice focused non-profit).
- Preference may be given to experience working with vulnerable sector populations and individuals involved with the criminal justice system.
- Preference will be given to applicants with experience with Cornet and/or Justin databases.
- Preference may be given to applicants with completion of a post-secondary certificate, program or course in office administration.

About this Position:
This is a temporary opportunity until January 31, 2027. This position may be extended.

Criminal Record Review Act Check (CRRA) will be required.
